What You Will Do
We are seeking an inspirational leader to assume comprehensive responsibility for our Product Engineering function. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, guiding initiatives from initial ideation and development through to successful market launch and sustained operational support. Success requires dynamic collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, Operations, and Sales, to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that are strategically aligned with market needs and critical business objectives.
Lead the Product Engineering team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.
Define and implement the product engineering roadmap, aligning with product strategy and business goals.
Manage the product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Establish and maintain high-quality engineering standards and practices.
Oversee the budget and resources allocated to product engineering activities.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
Represent the Product Engineering team in executive meetings and presentations.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in product engineering leadership roles.
Proven track record of success in managing and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers.
Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.

About Our Product Engineering Team Trimble's Product Engineering team is a globally distributed, cross-functional organization focused on creating the end-to-end connected solutions that transform essential industries like construction, agriculture, geospatial, and transportation. The teams are structured to bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds, combining expertise in advanced positioning technologies, 3D modeling, and data analytics to deliver practical, productivity-enhancing tools.
Compensation Compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that may be offered for this position. The range is based on a full-time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by law.
Pay Range: $160,900.00 - $217,400.00
