What We’re Looking For:
You might be our ideal candidate if you have: At least 15 years of supply chain experience , including 10 years in a leadership role , preferably in manufacturing with emphasis on printing or bindery operations.
A hands-on background in production, purchasing, inventory control, and cost estimation.
A collaborative leadership style - you work well across departments to get things done.
Experience in small- to mid-sized organizations, where flexibility and initiative are key.
A passion for driving continuous improvement and building high-performing teams.
What You’ll Do:
As Director, Supply Chain, you will: Lead pricing, procurement, and supply chain strategy for the entire organization.
Own the cost estimation process to support pricing decisions and strategic planning.
Partner with sales, engineering, and operations to ensure accurate BOMs and cost alignment.
Conduct regular pricing reviews and lead product margin analysis.
Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and lead annual vendor summits.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, cost, and risk.
Oversee supply planning, inventory, master production scheduling, and vendor management.
Serve as a key member of the Leadership Team , influencing business direction.
Essential Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven leadership in procurement, planning, inventory management , and supplier negotiation.
Strong grasp of manufacturing processes and materials flow.
Ability to analyze data, build models , and make financially sound decisions.
Excellent communication and people skills - you can influence across functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, C.P.M., or C.P.S.M. preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises: 3 team members.
Reports to: Executive leadership.
Physical & Vision Requirements: Role requires regular data review, screen use, and occasional travel.
Can be performed with or without assistive technology.
May involve inspecting work, reading small print, or using measuring tools.
