Job Summary:
Provides leadership and competency on physician compensation matters. Maintains responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of specific pay practices to ensure legal compliance with company policies, State and Federal regulations. Manages and develops provider payments and incentive models to support strategic objectives in collaboration with organizational leadership, compensation committees and independent compensation consultants. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
Master's Degree: Preferred
Seven years' relevant healthcare experience: Preferred
Five years’ leadership experience: Preferred
Five years' clinical experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
Serves as liaison to leadership in physician compensation design, changes, or interpretations of compensation plans or amendments. Develops and manages provider compensation, reporting, analysis, payments and incentive models for the system, including evaluating and modeling of new proposals. Collaborates with System leaders to align annual plans with strategic priorities and delivers analytics that indicate the impact of choices made. Ensures compensation models are in compliance with contractual terms and governing regulations. Leads with an operational focus, setting strategy, objectives and policies.
Oversees the administration of provider payments, incentives, reporting, analysis and contracting. Partners with Physician Services (AHPS) and shared services leadership. Drives initiatives to support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives. Manages staff including hiring, conducting performance reviews, counseling, overseeing and coaching staff for educational development. Oversees provider disputes and issues/reviews documentation to determine corrective action.
Oversees the submission of data to various provider compensation and productivity benchmarking surveys. Participates in the development of Fair Market Value (FMV) compensation, compensation models and contracts for hospital and clinic services. Oversees the upkeep of the Provider Compensation Assessment Tool, ensuring data relevancy and appropriate use. Prepares department(s) budgets and recommends for approval.
Supports development of the annual operating budget for physician compensation for all providers. Supports an efficient and effective planning/forecasting process that produces accurate, achievable and aligned results by providing key input during the planning processes. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policy and long-term goals of the department(s).
