This role requires a proven leader with deep technical expertise in *Oracle database engineering*, a passion for modernization, and a strategic mindset to drive transformation from *private cloud to public cloud platforms*.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Lead the database engineering organization, ensuring excellence in delivery, performance, and support of mission-critical systems. * Oversee Oracle databases hosted in both *private and public cloud environments*. * Design and implement *self-service and automated database solutions* to enhance operational efficiency. * Partner with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with *organizational modernization goals*. * Drive innovation through *automation, orchestration, and continuous improvement* initiatives. * Ensure compliance with *audit and regulatory requirements* for cloud database operations. * Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to build scalable and secure solutions. * Promote a culture of transparency, innovation, and empowerment within the team.

*Qualifications:*

* *Bachelor’s degree* required; *Master’s degree* or equivalent experience preferred. * *10+ years* of experience in *database engineering*, delivery, and support—specializing in *Oracle database technologies*. * Proven experience with *Oracle databases in hybrid or cloud (private/public)* environments. * Demonstrated leadership experience managing *engineering teams* and aligning initiatives with enterprise objectives. * Strong knowledge of *automation/orchestration tools* such as *Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab*. * Experience working in the *financial industry* or other regulated environments. * Deep understanding of *cloud database reliability, scalability, and security best practices*. * Familiarity with *Agile methodologies* and *Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)* management.

*Technical Expertise:*

* Advanced proficiency in *Oracle Database Architecture* and performance optimization. * Hands-on experience in *infrastructure automation and CI/CD* for database environments. * Proven success with *database modernization* and migration initiatives. * Strong command of *data governance, compliance, and audit frameworks*.
