Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered up with Green and Spiegel LLP, a prominent Immigration law firm to recruit a Director, Operations to join their Philadelphia office. The Director, Operations will exemplifies an entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated exceptional analytical, strategic planning/thinking and communication skills. This position reports to the US Operations Executive Committee.
The Director, Operations is responsible for the oversight of the firm’s administration including Legal Administration, Human Resources, Technology and Finance for the US Operations. A key part of the role will be to deliver and execute the Firm's strategic plan and all associated initiatives with meticulous attention to detail and a results-oriented focus.
The successful candidate will have experience implementing new and upgraded technologies and is always on the lookout for process improvement.
Your Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic management and oversight of the firm’s administrative functions including but not limited to: overseeing the application of appropriate policies and procedures, and internal controls.
• Management of day-to-day HR, Technology, Legal Administration and Finance functions.
• Manage, develop and direct the HR, Finance, Technology and Legal Administrative teams providing supervision and coaching of employees to encourage individual and organizational success.
• Execute on key Strategic initiatives in the areas of Finance, HR, Technology and Legal administration.
• Ensure that Receivables are maintained at an acceptable level and make recommendations, where appropriate.
• Manage bank relationships. Oversee cash, investments, and asset management and assist in determining timing and amounts for partnership distributions.
• Assist with the preparation and support all the year-end accounting process as well as all tax filings for the US Operations.
• Execute on key Strategic initiatives in the areas of Finance, HR, Technology and Legal administration
Your Requirements:
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in accounting or finance including a minimum of five years in a management role. Candidates should have held positions of increasing responsibility within a Finance department.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in good standing is preferred.
• Experience in a professional services environment such as engineering, law or accounting will be considered a strong asset.
• Business savvy, proactive and fiscally responsible.
• Exceptional strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to communicate and sell concepts.
• High level of integrity and strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
