Job Summary Reporting to our VP of AI and Central Technology , We are looking to add a Director of Operations Strategy in Austin TX. You will act as a trusted internal advisor, partnering closely with Operations leadership while remaining anchored in our central corporate strategy function. This role is ideal for a seasoned strategist with operational experience, deep analytical skills, strong executive presence, and a passion for helping complex organizations transform. You will collaborate across functions, from manufacturing and supply chain to finance, technology, Corporate Development, and sustainability, to help Flex grow, operate more effectively, and prepare for what's next. What a typical day looks like:
Operate as an embedded strategic partner to Senior Operations leaders, bringing an independent, enterprise-wide lens to operational priorities
Lead cross-functional initiatives and strategic reviews in areas such as automation, network design, and supply chain innovation, supporting Ops through strategy, not daily operations
Provide thought leadership and structured support on Flex's most pressing opportunities, whether organic growth, operational efficiency, or transformation
Develop strategic roadmaps, KPIs, and business cases that shape decision-making and enable execution
Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to identify emerging trends and technologies worth betting on
Translate strategic insights into tangible actions by partnering with Ops, Finance, Tech, and other functions to drive implementation and measure results
Serve as a strategic advisor to BUs and CTG, helping them articulate and align their product strategies with corporate priorities
Facilitate structured workshops and strategy sessions to co-develop BU-specific product roadmaps
Lead the development of strategic frameworks, scenario planning, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
Support M&A activity through capability assessment, target screening, due diligence, and post-merger integration as needed
Serve as a key contributor to materials presented to the C-suite, CEO, and occasionally the Board
Develop org and headcount strategies, assess choke points and improvement opportunities, and recommend areas for simplification or standardization
Contribute to the evolution of the Corporate Strategy function, championing a culture of inclusion, collaboration, empathy, and impact
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
Typically, 8+ years of total work experience, with at least 2+ years in management consulting, corporate strategy, sales operations, or a related field
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, or a related quantitative field required;
Experience in Electronic Manufacturing; Contract Manufacturing, or knowledge of diversified industrials, consumer products or like space and specific technologies associated with the manufacturing.
Experience leading enterprise-level strategic initiatives or transformation efforts, ideally in global manufacturing, supply chain, or technology sectors
Proven ability to break down ambiguous, complex business problems using data, structured thinking, and business judgment
Deep analytical acumen with comfort in statistical reasoning, scenario modeling, and synthesizing large datasets into actionable insights
Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to write and deliver persuasive, high-stakes presentations to senior executives, public groups, or Boards
Expertise in either a deep functional/technical area (e.g., operations, finance, GTM) or broad strategic exposure across multiple domains
