Position Overview:
The Director of Warehouse Operations will support the leadership team in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate receiving, efficient workflow, and on-time shipment of all customer orders. This role is responsible for coordinating and directing departmental activities, maintaining compliance standards, and driving operational excellence to support our mission of delivering safe, reliable products to our healthcare partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, packing, storing, and inventory. Required tasks include using a scanner and ensuring precise data entry.
Oversee Lot, GTINs, REFs, and expiration date management.
Maintain strict adherence to material handling practices in accordance with established procedures.
Develop and enforce SOPs for warehouse safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Develop and monitor KPIs, analyze performance, and implement continuous improvements.
Conduct quality checks to verify order accuracy and ensure packaging standards are met.
Collaborate with the leadership team, Sales, IT, and Ops to align warehouse operations with business objectives.
Prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for the replacement of equipment. Work with carriers to resolve freight discrepancies.
Supporting Duties:
Monitors activities of the work team to ensure that safe practices are in place and being demonstrated. Monitors the building to ensure that proper housekeeping practices are being followed.
Extremely high sense of urgency, personal energy, and stamina. Capable of handling multiple priorities and extensive time demands. High level of personal integrity and professionalism.
Physical & Work Environment
Regular walking/standing in warehouse settings.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. and ability to climb stairs/ladders.
Exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, and forklift traffic.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Highly proficient with computers and Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheets/Docs.
Prior experience in hospital and/or supply/inventory/warehouse logistics is highly desirable.
Proven track record in warehouse automation, process improvement, and cost savings.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP, or OSHA Safety are highly desirable.
Compensation
A starting salary of $60,000-$75,000 per year with room for growth based on performance.
