The College of Business (COB) has been AACSB accredited for over 40 years. We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers both a BS in Hospitality Management and an MS in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 4, undergraduate and graduate students. To date, the COB has approximately faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management within the College of Business has a full-time, Director position available beginning November and invites candidates to complete the online application. The Director will support the Twilley Academy of Sales Leadership by developing and maintaining a set of revenue generating strategic corporate sponsorships for the Academy, facilitating a variety of student experiential learning and engagement opportunities including the coordinating of interactions between students and corporate sponsors as well providing sales instruction both in and out of the classroom, and managing the marketing and customer relationship management activities of the Academy. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for other duties related to the Academy and some travel may be required.

Leadership/Management:
The Academy Director will be responsible for managing the Academy’s brand and relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. As such, the Director will interact with other university sales centers, market the Academy to prospective students, donors, and sponsors, manage the Academy’s curricular and co-curricular activities, and produce the Academy’s annual report. Duties will also include the tracking and reporting of sponsor engagement as well as student development and success.
Student/Industry Engagement:
The Academy Director will be responsible for facilitating, supporting, promoting, and presenting at Academy related programs such as sales seminars, speaker engagements, sales club events, and executive education. Furthermore, the Director will lead coaching activities for students participating in national and regional sales competitions.
Fundraising/Corporate Sponsorship:
The Academy’s Director will be responsible for prospecting, acquiring, managing, and developing relationships with key strategic corporate sponsors that provide industry engagement opportunities for students. As such, the Director will facilitate and coordinate student interactions with Academy sponsors. This includes but is not limited to sales role-play competitions, mentorship and internship opportunities, sales-focused job fairs, classroom visits by sponsors and student visits to sponsor facilities.

Minimum Education/Experience The candidate must possess a graduate degree (MBA, MA, MS, PhD, or EdD) in a closely related discipline (examples include, but are not limited to: business administration, entrepreneurship, accounting, finance, marketing, economics, or management) from an appropriately accredited institution.
Only current full-time faculty (excluding those whose primary responsibilities are in administration) in the College of Business are eligible for this position. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education License or Certification Required by the Department Special Instructions to Applicant East Carolina University requires applicants to submit a candidate profile online in order to be considered for the position.
