Rehabilitation and Care Center - The Director of Therapy Services oversees the planning, development, and coordination of physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs in a skilled nursing facility. This leadership role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, and efficient department operations. The Director leads a multidisciplinary team and collaborates closely with nursing, medical staff, and administration.
Key Responsibilities ·        Provide leadership and direction to physical, occupational, and speech therapy departments.
·        Supervise and support therapy staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
·        Ensure therapy services meet all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and documentation requirements.
·        Oversee accurate and timely documentation, billing, and reporting of therapy services.
·        Monitor and manage department budgets, staffing levels, productivity, and utilization metrics.
·        Coordinate therapy evaluations and treatments to promote the highest functional outcomes for residents.
·        Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
·        Participate in care conferences, quality assurance initiatives, and survey readiness efforts.
·        Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, rehabilitation trends, and compliance policies.
·        Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment with a strong focus on patient care and staff satisfaction.
Qualifications ·        Current license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology (as applicable).
·        Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
·        At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
·        Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including CMS, MDS, PDPM, and Quality Measures
·        Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
·        Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting.
Preferred Qualifications ·        Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as PointClickCare or Rehab Optima.
