Job Summary:
The Director of Strategy will report to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and play a key role in advancing the company’s growth agenda across Golf & Country Clubs and Business and City Clubs. This individual will partner with the SVP of Strategy, business unit leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate enterprise strategy into actionable initiatives, manage high-impact projects, and deliver insights that drive decision-making.
This role serves as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator, ensuring that long-term vision set by the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and SVP of Strategy is effectively executed across the organization. This position is a hybrid role, working in the office two to three days per week.
Day-to-Day:
Strategic Planning & Execution Translate high-level strategic priorities into operational roadmaps and project plans. Manage and monitor execution of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring progress against milestones. Develop business cases and frameworks to support evaluation of new growth opportunities. Analytics & Insights Conduct financial modeling, market research, and competitive benchmarking to evaluate initiatives. Partner with Business Analytics to transform data into insights that guide strategy and operations. Create executive-level presentations to communicate recommendations to the SVP of Strategy, CSO, senior leadership, and the Board. Project & Change Management Lead strategic projects from scoping through execution, managing deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communication. Identify risks, dependencies, and potential barriers; develop solutions to maintain project momentum. Drive organizational alignment and adoption of new strategic initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Member Experience to ensure strategies are grounded in operational realities. Build strong relationships with business unit leaders to understand challenges and support execution of tailored strategies. Act as the “connective tissue” between SVP of Strategy and business units, ensuring alignment across priorities. About You: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field 3-5 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development. Strong financial and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Highly organized self-starter with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution detail. Background in hospitality, sports & entertainment, consumer, or private-equity-backed businesses a plus.
