Director of Social Worker - Mountains Behavioral Health - Full Time

The Director of Social Work maintains a commitment to service excellence with the ability to identify and intervene to meet the needs of adolescent/adult/geriatric patients who are mentally ill. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Utilizing knowledge of social work, the aging process, care and treatment of persons who are mentally ill, case management, community resources. Providing leadership and supervision over social workers within the facility. Knowledgeable about Chapter 5100 of the Mental Health Procedures Act, as well as CMS and CIHQ regulations in planning and providing therapeutic individual, group, and family interventions. Performing pre-admission screenings when necessary. Providing case management, initiating discharge planning at the time of admission, and coordinating a continuum of care. Functioning as a member of an interdisciplinary and intradepartmental treatment team. Completing required Social Work assessment in specific timeframe after admission to the BH unit. Exemplifying the IRMC mission, vision, and values, acting in accordance with IRMC policies and procedures to ensure quality care is provided. Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skill to effectively communicate with patients, family, and members of the organization. Formulating, coordinating, and facilitating meetings and public presentations in a professional manner. Providing therapeutic daily groups to BH patients. Initiating discharge planning and coordinating a person’s transition from inpatient to outpatient status while functioning as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team. Utilizing basic computer skills and collecting, maintaining, and analyzing performance improvement data. Will be required to float to all units, including geropsych, adult, and adolescent. Qualifications EDUCATION: A master’s degree in counseling or Social Work (MSW) EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-year clinical experience with adolescence required. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: BLS required or attained within 1 month of hire. Licensure preferred.
