About the Company Hiring: Our client is a contract manufacturer specializing in machined components & custom fabrication. About the Job: The Director of Sales will lead, build, and manage a high-performing sales and customer service team while driving revenue growth through strategic planning, business development, and operational oversight. This position will focus on expanding the customer base, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and ensuring alignment between sales capabilities and production capacity.Key responsibilities include:Leadership: Oversee the Sales and Customer Service departments, ensuring efficient operations and a customer-focused approach. Recruit, train, and develop a skilled sales team while fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture.Sales Strategy: Define and execute sales plans, territory management, and quota setting to meet revenue goals. Identify and analyze market opportunities, particularly in Aerospace/Defense, Industrial, and other key sectors.Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, attending customer-facing meetings, and understanding client needs to tailor solutions effectively.Operational Alignment: Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment between sales opportunities and manufacturing capabilities.Performance Management: Track and analyze sales and customer service metrics. Provide regular reporting to leadership, using data to inform decisions and refine strategies.Process Improvement: Fully utilize CRM systems and other tools to streamline sales processes, track leads, and optimize resource allocation.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.8-10+ years of sales leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Proven track record of success in contract manufacturing, preferably with experience in precision machining and sheet metal fabrication.Strong knowledge of materials such as steel, aluminum, titanium, and copper, as well as GD&T and blueprint reading.Familiarity with CRM tools and quoting software.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Ability to travel as needed to support customer relationships and team development.Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 base salary + bonus opportunity.
