Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the annual sales plan aligned with company growth objectives and seasonal trends.
  • Define sales targets, lead conversion goals, and channel strategies (inbound, outbound, digital, referral, etc.).
  • Lead weekly/monthly sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to company-wide strategic planning.
  • Directly manage the inside sales team and any field sales or business development reps.
  • Set clear performance expectations and coaching plans; hire, train, and retain top sales talent.
  • Foster a results-oriented, customer-focused sales culture.
  • Partner with Marketing to optimize lead generation campaigns and improve lead quality.
  • Monitor and improve conversion rates across sales funnel stages.
  • Implement and refine sales playbooks, call scripts, objection handling techniques, and CRM usage.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer acquisition experience that aligns with service delivery standards.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to service.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities in existing customer base.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and local market dynamics.
  • Use insights to adjust sales tactics, pricing strategies, and positioning.
  • Develop and implement strategies for acquisition sales in new markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in business to consumer or home services industries (lawn care, pest control, HVAC, etc.).
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams and delivering aggressive growth goals.
  • Strong CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proficiency in sales reporting and analytics.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to operate strategically and tactically.
  • Ensure deliverables are high quality, on time, and within budget.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
