Sonesta Select ATL Airport - Director of Sales

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales efforts to achieve and exceed revenue goals for the Sonesta Select ATL Airport hotel. This position requires a hands-on, proactive leader who thrives on building relationships, developing strategic sales plans, and driving performance in both group and transient business segments.

The DOS plays a critical role as part of the hotel's leadership team, working closely with the General Manager and Regional Sales Leadership to position the property competitively within the market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals across all segments (corporate, group, SMERF, and leisure). • Prospect and secure new business through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building. • Maintain existing client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and exceptional customer service. • Collaborate with operations and revenue teams to ensure effective group coordination, rate integrity, and strong guest satisfaction. • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and forecasts. • Represent the hotel at local events, trade shows, and community functions to drive brand awareness and business opportunities. • Lead and mentor any on-property sales support staff, ensuring alignment with Sonesta's brand standards and company goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hotel sales experience required (prior Director of Sales or Sales Manager experience strongly preferred). • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and room night goals. • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and competitive landscape. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Experience with hotel sales systems and Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Delphi/FDC or similar CRM preferred. • Ability to travel locally for client meetings and networking events as needed.
