The Director of Sales will lead the hotel’s sales efforts, focusing on revenue growth, market share expansion, and maximizing profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction.Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director will develop and implement tailored sales and marketing strategies, leveraging market insights and building strategic partnerships.Essential functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform these duties.Create and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets and increase market share.Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and needs.Collaborate with marketing, operations, and revenue management teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales initiatives.Coordinate all catering aspects, including menu selection, dietary restrictions, service style, and vendor management.Manage event logistics such as audiovisual needs, room setup, and decor.Evaluate local market competitiveness regularly and develop strategies to meet emerging market demands.Participate with leadership to develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with company objectives.Develop and implement promotional programs, sales blitzes, and marketing initiatives to drive sales.Act as a Brand Champion, embodying and promoting the hotel’s brand standards and guest experience.Assist in developing and updating the hotel’s business plan, providing input on sales goals and strategies.Forecast sales and be accountable for achieving sales targets, monitoring key metrics and budgets.Uphold high ethical standards in all sales activities, fostering a cooperative work environment consistent with Ivy Hospitality’s core values.Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal requirements in all sales transactions.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.At least 5 years of successful experience in hospitality or hotel sales and marketing.Proven sales leadership experience.Experience in event planning, meeting coordination, or hospitality roles, especially with venue and catering management, is preferred.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.Marketing experience is a plus to help expand marketing efforts.Willingness and ability to travel for workshops, trade shows, and conventions.Taking Care of You – Our BenefitsAt Ivy, we support our team both professionally and personally.Your benefits eligibility depends on your employment status, with full details provided during your first 30 days.Our offerings include:Health & Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSAFinancial Security & Peace of Mind: Life Insurance, AD&D, Short & Long-Term Disability, Critical Illness, Pet Insurance, 401(k)Time to Recharge: Paid Time Off (PTO)Ivy Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
