Homewood Suites by Hilton is looking for a Director of Sales of our newly renovated hotel!
The Director of Sales is responsible for generating top-line revenue and a positive REVPAR Index change on the STR report and striving for top market share results. They would be responsible for meeting room rental and catering sales results too. The Director of Sales also directs the hotel's sales, marketing, revenue management, catering objectives. Knowledge of traditional and electronic marketing, sales systems and standard sales operating procedures, catering sales, and revenue management practices.  Understanding of various segments that pertain to the market.  Ability to analyze the marketplace and develop strategies to impact new business development.
The Homewood Suites in LaQuinta, CA is a 129 room all-suite hotel that offers full in-room kitchens, resort style outdoor pool, fitness room and hot breakfast buffet breakfast. We host a nightly reception on Wednesdays that include a variety of snacks plus beer and wine.

Responsibilities
Anticipates guests' needs and responds appropriately to complaints within the hotel policy
Maximizes room revenue and occupancy by developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue generation
Find new group, local corporate or base business in the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas
Adjusts strategy based on competitive market and market segment knowledge
Responsible for continuously improving the Smith Travel REVPAR Index and achieving top market share results.
Focus on new market conditions and impact
Utilize Delphi to track sales calls, group bookings, site visits and complete contracts
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school OR 3-5 years of hotel sales experience (preferably Hilton)
Must be able to read and write in English
Valid driver’s license
Basic math skills
Elevated computer skills
Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
