SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing leadership, execution, oversight, and direction to the research, development, communication, and planned pursuits of the Sales Department, with the key focus of driving corporate sales strategies for obtaining and retaining profitable business. Works with all senior leaders within the company to make quality corporate decisions that incorporate a sales culture.

Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement sales strategies for new business acquisition, retention, agent relations, compensation, market research, and overall revenue and profit growth.
Establish sales best practices and refine them continuously.
Lead sales executives in managing territory books of business, setting objectives aligned with the company's goals.
Oversee internal sales team activities, ensuring alignment with strategies and accountability for performance.
Business Development & Market Analysis
Develop and execute short- and long-term business development plans to drive sales, profit, and market expansion.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic sales opportunities; oversee their implementation and outcomes.
Direct market research initiatives and analyze industry trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Executive Support
Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and key projects.
Advise the CEO and leadership team on sales strategies and customer relations.
Organize team structure for efficiency and professional development, including performance reviews and resource allocation.
Establish compensation and incentive plans for sales and agency partners.
Work with the Chief Revenue Officer to set performance metrics aligned with revenue growth and market share goals.
Set meaningful, outcomes-focused goals that align with strategic and individual development plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or Sales.
Designations/Certifications: CPCU or CIC preferred.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.
Experience:
15+ years in business development, sales, and marketing.
10+ years in management or leadership roles.
Experience with insurance product rollout and general insurance knowledge, including Workers Compensation.
Background in marketing, sales, or underwriting within insurance carriers.
Experience with health plans and employee benefits is advantageous.
