Scope of the position:
The Sales Director - Remote (preferably Houston, TX) will aggressively drive new business acquisition and relentlessly pursue untapped markets within their assigned territories to achieve— and exceed— sales targets. This role demands a true hunter: someone who thrives on prospecting, creating, and capturing new accounts, expanding the customer base far beyond current boundaries. The ideal candidate will take ownership for building a robust pipeline and closing deals, leveraging both direct sales and a dynamic network of independent sales representatives to seize every opportunity and maximize market penetration and revenue growth. Expect frequent travel (up to 70%) to relentlessly open doors and secure new business.
Responsibilities:
· Relentlessly pursue new business by identifying, targeting, and capturing untapped markets in assigned territories.
· Business development of new opportunities, including identification and development of new customers including customer profiling, initial contact, relationship building, and securing initial business; management of target account process; development of new markets, new sales channels, or new applications.
· Key Account Management (Buildup relationship to decision makers).
· Strategically devise and execute sales and pricing tactics to win high-value accounts while maximizing profitability.
· Proactively generate a constant stream of fresh leads, refusing to settle for the status quo.
· Forge and maintain influential relationships with key clients through persistent outreach and follow-up.
· Drive rapid expansion of the customer base, pushing beyond established boundaries; Continuously scan the market to identify new customer segments, both within current sectors and in adjacent industries.
· Lead, motivate, and closely manage independent sales representatives, ensuring aggressive pursuit of opportunities and achievement of growth metrics.
· Direct and coordinate all sales activities in defined markets
· Provide sales forecast and projections
· Serving as the face of the organization cultivating powerful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Set and drive tactical sales activities, maintaining unwavering commitment to surpassing quotas and objectives.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES – PROFICIENCY REQUIRED
· 10+ years of technical sales experience (or equivalent).
· Experience in a B2B environment required.
· Excellent working knowledge of PC applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
· Creative thinker and problem solver with a passion for brand strategy.
· Exceptional multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
· Strong personal presence and experience influencing internal and external partners.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships.
· Project management experience preferred.
· Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree (BS), Engineering degree preferred or equivalent commercial experience with a technical manufactured product, heat exchangers preferred.
