MCS is seeking a passionate, dynamic Director of Residential Services to oversee and inspire excellence across 19 community-based group homes serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Director of Residential Services will provide leadership, high-level oversight, and strategic direction to ensure quality, compliance, and compassion are at the forefront of everything we do. You’ll supervise a team of program leaders and support staff, maintain regulatory standards, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: Leading operations and oversight for 19 residential group homes Supporting and developing a team of professionals to deliver person-centered services Ensuring full compliance with all state, federal, and agency regulations (including DDS licensure and accreditation) Monitoring quality outcomes and service satisfaction, and using data to identify areas for improvement Managing budgets, staffing, and program resources efficiently and effectively Fostering meaningful relationships with individuals served, families, staff, and community stakeholders Collaborating across departments and participating in strategic planning at the organizational level Serving as a key contributor to agency leadership Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (preferred); equivalent combination of education and experience considered 5+ years of supervisory experience in human services, preferably with DDS residential programs Knowledge of Massachusetts DDS service delivery and regulatory systems Strong team-building, communication, and organizational skills Calm, solutions-focused leadership and crisis management abilities Proficiency with technology and a commitment to learning and growth Why Join MCS?
