Job Title: Director of Rehabilitation (DOR)

Position Summary:

The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) will oversee and manage the daily operations of the rehabilitation department at Windsor El Camino Care Center. This leadership role is responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary therapy team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered therapy services. The DOR serves as a key member of the facility's leadership team and plays an integral role in the success of clinical outcomes and staff development.

Key Responsibilities: Provide overall leadership and supervision for the physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams. Ensure therapy services are delivered in accordance with all applicable regulations and facility policies. Oversee departmental scheduling, productivity, staffing, and workflow management. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely billing and reimbursement practices. Develop individualized treatment plans in coordination with clinical staff and interdisciplinary teams. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment through coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Monitor compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements, including PDPM guidelines. Participate in facility-wide quality improvement initiatives and audits. Qualifications: Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of California (required). Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting. Previous leadership or management experience as a DOR or Rehab Manager strongly preferred. Solid knowledge of Medicare regulations, PDPM, and long-term care industry standards. Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
