JOB SUMMARY:
This position is a highly visible, key role in leading the Quality function of the business. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and processes, ensuring products and services meet established standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Leads all aspects of RedDOT's Quality System including Customer Quality (external customer complaints, corrective actions, and warranty services), Manufacturing Quality (internal quality issues and corrective actions), Supplier Quality (incoming material quality, supplier quality audits, and new supplier approval) and Quality Systems (ISO 9001 and ISO14001 registrations, company quality targets and metrics, and quality metrics reporting). This role will also play a key factor in engaging across the organization, training staff, conducting audits, and collaborating with other departments to achieve high-quality outcomes. This leader should be a change agent, adept at seeking and introducing best-in-class tools across an organization, collaborating with others, and creating a culture of Quality First.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Oversees the RedDOT Quality department including customer quality, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, and warranty services.
• Establish and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) that aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, current technologies and strategies, and the organization's goals.
• Ensures processes and resources are in place to receive and respond to quality related issues and proactively addresses root cause and corrective actions, as determined.
• Ensures quality system and protocols are translated to and used across a multi-site operation; indirectly leads off-site quality personnel to ensure cohesiveness and consistency
• Supports Operations through quality systems to ensure all products, processes, and services adhere to relevant quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements, leading to defect free manufactured products.
• Collaborates with Purchasing to ensure supplier performance consistently meets expectations and addresses identified quality issues with suppliers. Enagages in supplier transitions, new supplier approvals, and regular supplier interactions. Sets direction for supplier quality audit program.
• Oversees the ISO Quality Systems program confirming ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 registrations are being maintained. Ensures the internal quality auditing program is in place and is effective. Supports customer related audits, visits, and requests for information.
• Develop and implement a quality management strategy, with key performance indicators (KPI's) and metrics to track quality performance, conducting regular audits and inspections, and identifying areas for improvement, that supports overall business goals.
• Strong sense of urgency. Provides leadership, guidance and assistance to all levels of RedDOT employees and management.
• Trains & assists across all organizations in a collaborative effort to promote Quality best practices across all RedDOT facilities, as required.
• Actively supports and provides department leadership in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicates quality performance, trends, and issues to senior leadership and other key stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Travels to other RedDOT facilities, customers, and suppliers as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS Degree in an Engineering discipline or other related field.
• 10+ years' experience in quality, operations or related fields with management experience.
• Strong leader who can organize and motivate a team, provide guidance, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment to get things done.
• Understanding of quality management systems, quality control methodologies, and relevant industry standards.
• Knowledge of production processes and procedures.
• Ability to lead a core company function across multiple production sites
• Understanding of the requirements of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience in the field of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Quality Systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with all levels of personnel of the company's organization, external customers / suppliers and other external contacts, build relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to articulate technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop effective solutions, at an understandable level to a variety of stakeholders across the organization.

Salary Grade** for this role is as follows:
Min: $100,000/annual
Mid: $120,000/annual
Max: $135,000/annual
