We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.Reporting to the SVP Operations, the Director of Quality will build and lead Diamond Foundry’s Quality team, establish a robust quality culture and infrastructure across the company, and achieve world-class quality levels on single-crystal diamond delivered to leading semiconductor and automotive customers. Responsibilities
Lead Diamond Foundry’s quality initiatives in a highly dynamic organization, including manufacturing and R&D across several sites globally, with more sites being added over the coming years.
Achieve outstanding diamond wafer quality for Diamond Foundry’s best-in-class customers as output and revenue grow rapidly to serve mega tech industries (e.g., semiconductor and EV).
Develop, improve, and deploy quality strategies, system,s and methods including: comprehensive quality management system; strong quality culture; continuous improvement; key ISO, IATF and AEC certifications/qualifications; SPC; quality training; and quality assessments, scorecards & reviews (including for suppliers providing parts for Diamond Foundry’s proprietary processing systems).
Play a key role on the Operations management team, formulating strategy and objectives.
Collaborate with teams across the organization and communicate frequently with executives, including the CEO.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a quality Director/Manager.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Master’s degree and extensive Lean Six Sigma experience with related certifications preferred.
Demonstrated deep knowledge of quality management with broad experience managing quality across multiple production and R&D sites globally, building quality infrastructure in a rapidly growing environment, and achieving best-in-class results.
Extensive quality experience working in the semiconductor or automotive industry is strongly preferred.
Based at the Diamond Foundry, Fremont (CA) or Wenatchee (WA) site.
$180,000 - $230,000 a yearThe position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and location. We will also consider higher-level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.
