Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Position Summary:
The Director of Quality is responsible for leading and managing Quality function, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, company standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Repair Station’s Quality Management System, ensuring the highest levels of product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a key member of the business unit’s Strategic Group, the Director of Quality will collaborate with leadership to drive process enhancements, improve operational efficiency, and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor quality policies and procedures in alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
Lead strategic business unit quality activities, identifying and executing improvement initiatives based on quality data analysis (e.g., warranty claims, rectification reports, customer feedback).
Oversee methods and systems for tracking quality performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement efforts are data-driven and results-oriented.
Lead and coordinate internal quality audits, corrective action processes, and compliance efforts with FAA, Foreign CAA, and customer/third-party audits.
Collaborate cross-functionally to establish and enforce quality requirements on products and services, ensuring considerations are integrated early in the design and production process.
Monitor and manage warranty procedures, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze quality trends, assess potential risks, and recommend process improvements to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Research, review, and maintain company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stay up to date with industry regulations and quality standards, implementing best practices and innovative methodologies to enhance TES’s quality management processes.
Provide leadership in hiring, training, career development, performance management, and overall employee engagement within the quality department.
Actively participate in management teams, contributing to strategic planning, budgeting, and goal setting.
Lead and execute special projects as assigned to enhance operational and quality performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5 years’ experience in business aviation OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of experience in business aviation quality.
Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, including airworthiness certification standards.
Deep understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality system requirements and internal audit procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), SAP, and Oracle.
Experience with production management computer systems.
Proven track record of success in a supervisory capacity within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
