Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance and food safety programs specific to powdered food products.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, SQF, and HACCP standards.
  • Lead and mentor the quality control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Oversee incoming raw material inspections, in-process testing, and final product quality evaluations to ensure consistency and safety.
  • Manage supplier quality programs and conduct regular audits to ensure raw materials meet strict quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve quality issues.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for any quality deviations or customer complaints.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits, and manage responses to findings.
  • Monitor quality metrics, prepare reports for senior management, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all quality and safety activities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to powdered food manufacturing.
