Mario Badescu Skin Care is seeking an experienced and dynamic PR Director to lead and elevate our brand presence within the beauty and skincare industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a passionate advocate for our brand, capable of driving impactful media relationships, innovative campaigns, and high-profile partnerships. This role is NYC based with 5 required in office days. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance Mario Badescu’s visibility and reputation in the beauty and skincare market. Build and maintain strong relationships with beauty editors, influencers, bloggers, and industry partners to secure media coverage and collaborations. Lead product launches, brand campaigns, and events that align with the company’s vision and marketing goals. Manage crisis communications and respond to media inquiries to protect and promote brand integrity. Collaborate closely with marketing, social media, product development, and executive teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all platforms. Monitor media trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to adjust PR strategies accordingly. Oversee and mentor PR team members, fostering a creative and productive environment. Track and report on PR campaign effectiveness and media coverage analytics. Review coverage performance and editor feedback regularly, driving continuous improvement in earned media results. Ensure regional pitching, mailers, and press events reflect global strategy, deliver impact, and maintain creative excellence. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field. 5+ years of experience in beauty or skincare public relations, with a proven track record of success. Exceptional media relations skills with established connections in beauty and lifestyle media. Strong leadership and project management abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced environment. Passion for beauty, skincare, and wellness industries. Proficiency in PR tools and media monitoring platforms. Why Join Us?
