Position Title: Director of Project Controls
Reports to : CFO
Position Status: Permanent – Full Time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Pasadena, TX
Work Schedule: Must have open availability any time and day of the week. Normal work period is Monday-Friday dayshift.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Provide expertise, leadership, and supervision for all company related Project Controls activities.
Maintain, develop, and lead continual advancement of Project Controls (PC) department work processes, tools, and systems.
Function as the Project Controls SME for the company (internal and external).
Project level reporting and analysis (cost reporting, cost forecasting, scheduling, progress, change management, and KPIs).
Ensure quality of PC work products and conducts department quality audits.
Effective leadership and daily management of the Project Controls department, personnel, and deliverables.
Corporate level reporting and analysis.
Lead project completion reports, metrics, KPIs, and benchmarking systems.
Lead weekly Project Status Review meetings with Project Managers and Operations.
Lead the development and set-up of PC deliverables for large bids and projects.
Provide training, workshops, and/or presentations to other internal departments or clients on our project controls work processes, tools, and systems.

Essential Qualifications
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or any related field.
12+ years of overall capital projects experience in heavy industrial projects or equal.
7+ years of progressive experience in project controls.
Previous project controls management/supervisory experience.
Extensive experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and forecasting, and change management for both Engineering & Construction projects.
Experience in project sizes of 10 million – 75 million dollars or larger.
Experience in both developing bids/proposals and execution of projects.
Prefer past working experience in a multi-projects environment.
Prefer working knowledge of estimating practices and benchmarking.
Advanced knowledge and experience with: Industry project control tools, work process, and best practices
MS Office (i.e. – Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Primavera P6 Scheduling
Power BI (preferred)
Vista ERP (preferred)
