About Us
Aaron’s Estate Sales is a fast-paced, service-driven company that specializes in residential estate sales, high-end auctions, and online resale across Metro Detroit and beyond. With thousands of projects completed, we’re known for our professional standards, reliable execution, and strong results for our clients.
Our Core Values: We are transparent, accountable, results-oriented, disciplined, aligned, and inspirational in everything we do.
Our Production Division is where it all comes together — and we’re looking for a Production Director to help lead and coordinate that work.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position. As Production Director, you’ll be responsible for organizing and moving every job forward — ensuring estate sales, auctions, deliveries, and online sales are completed on time, on budget, and to company standards.
You’ll oversee and drive results in our Production Division, which includes:
Client & Production Services
Estate Sale Delivery
Block Auction House
Online Sales
This role is about bringing structure, pace, and accountability to the part of the business that produces the work we’re hired to do. You’ll lead a team across departments, locations, and timelines — working closely with other leaders to keep everything on track.
Valuable Final Product (FVP)
A well-organized, deadline-driven production division that consistently delivers completed projects on time, within budget, and at a high level of quality — supporting the financial growth and reputation of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Manage 25+ staff across multiple departments and job types
Oversee day-to-day production activity, ensuring projects stay on schedule
Build and maintain systems that support smooth, repeatable operations
Set and monitor timelines, staffing, and workload distribution
Identify and remove bottlenecks or breakdowns in the flow of work
Coordinate with Sales, Admin, and Logistics for proper job handoffs
Ensure clear expectations, consistent follow-through, and accountability
Learn the full scope of roles and responsibilities under your division
Track key metrics and KPIs to maintain performance and quality
You’re a Strong Candidate If You…
Have experience managing operations or production in a fast-moving, service-based business
Know how to prioritize, delegate, and adapt in dynamic environments
Lead with clarity, communication, and consistency — not ego
Understand systems and workflows, and how to make them better
Are comfortable being in the field or behind the scenes — wherever you’re most needed
Are tech-proficient and comfortable with project tools, spreadsheets, and CRMs
Can hold people to standards while building trust and support
Prefer to solve problems rather than sidestep them
What You’ll Need
5+ years of experience in production, project management, or operations leadership
Experience leading multiple departments, jobs, or locations at once
Familiarity with scheduling, staffing, and systems management
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and tools like ClickUp, Asana, or Trello
This Role May Not Be the Right Fit If You…
Struggle with following or improving structured systems
Prefer to lead from a distance rather than understanding the day-to-day work
Get easily overwhelmed by shifting priorities or timelines
Aren’t comfortable with data, KPIs, or performance benchmarks
Aren’t open to feedback or ongoing learning
