Director of Prevention

Oversees community-based prevention programming. Responsible for supervision of prevention staff, for monthly reporting on current Department of Mental Health contracts, including, but not limited to, C2000, Suicide Prevention and Tobacco Education contracts, and for drafting and completing annual strategic plan for prevention services as required and outlined by the DMH Prevention contract.
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC:
Maintain quality and continuity of Prevention Services and Programming to include direct oversight and tracking of annual funding to ensure fair utilization of allocation across all community coalitions.
Supervise Prevention staff
Direct monthly meetings with staff where program information and DMH updates are shared with staff; participate in other agency meetings as appropriate and as requested
Direct recruitment and hiring of prevention staff
Develop training plans for prevention staff including providing/arranging trainings as needed
Build community partnerships and explore new ways to partner
Increase awareness of Prevention Services and activities across Compass Health
Conduct trainings and educational workshops to community groups on community issues, the Strategic Plan Framework, Risk and Protective Factors, and Missouri Prevention Network across 29 counties of Missouri
Assure contract compliance for Prevention Services and coordination with Department of Mental Health rules and regulations, including preparation and timely submission of monthly reporting and annual strategic plan
Ensure Prevention Services meet all certification requirements for the Division of Behavioral Health, CARF and other accrediting agencies as required
Meet monthly with the Missouri Prevention Network
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree required
WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least two (2) years' experience required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Missouri Prevention Specialist Certification within six (6) months of hire date
