Position The Director of Premium Sales and Service will lead revenue generation, retention of Premium Members, sales of Premium hospitality, and growth initiatives for San Diego FC. This role will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and motivating the premium sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets while fostering a dynamic, performance-driven culture. The Manager of Premium Service, and the core responsibilities of that position, will also report to this individual. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in premium sales and service management, experience with Premium Hospitality, leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and ensuring exceptional service delivery. They should also demonstrate strong leadership abilities, a customer-first mentality, and a passion for sports and entertainment. Responsibilities Sales & Service Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to drive premium sales and retention for San Diego FC, maximizing both revenue and fan satisfaction. Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to align sales efforts with the organization’s overall goals. Team Management & Development: Lead the premium sales & service team by recruiting, onboarding, and training new staff. Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to ensure high productivity and team cohesion. Sales Training & Performance Optimization: Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and performance of sales staff. Continuously track and assess sales metrics to refine strategies and improve results. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize historical and current sales data to forecast performance, identify new opportunities, and guide the team in achieving revenue goals. Client Relations & Outreach: Proactively engage with prospective clients through sales outreach, meetings, presentations, and events to secure new business and build lasting relationships. Renewal Plans: Work with the service team to review, implement, and execute on campaigns to renew premium accounts. Premium Hospitality: Work with internal and external departments to execute and grow nightly premium sales. Sales Campaigns & Reporting: Oversee the development of sales campaigns and manage the day-to-day tracking of sales performance, revenue goals, and team progress. Generate reports to communicate results and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders. Revenue Tracking & Budgeting: Manage the department’s budget, tracking daily sales and overall campaign performance. Assist in the development of financial forecasts and business plans. Brand Advocacy: Represent SDFC in a positive, professional manner, both internally and externally, ensuring high standards of customer service and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to all company policies, federal, state, and local regulations, and best practices in sales and customer service. Qualifications A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in sales. Strong preference given to candidates with proven experience in a premium sales environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Demonstrated expertise in sales strategy development, including creating and executing campaigns to maximize revenue and customer engagement. Proven track record in coaching, mentoring, and managing sales teams to achieve high levels of performance. Strong analytical skills with experience using CRM systems and sales performance tracking tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels. Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and deal structuring. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment. A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. Salary & Application Pay for this position is $100,000 annually base + commission.
