Strategic Leadership Lead all preconstruction and estimating efforts company-wide Drive pricing strategies, risk evaluation, and cost-saving solutions Partner with executives on forecasting, market expansion, and operational planning High-Profile Projects Work on large-scale commercial, multifamily, and government jobs across the Southeast Help secure new work from top-tier GCs who trust our team's execution Team Growth & Optimization Help refine and standardize our estimating processes Evaluate tools, software, and workflows to scale efficiently Mentor and develop junior estimators as the team expands Job Responsibilities: Oversee preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for concrete construction projects Interpret project plans, specs, and structural drawings to determine scope and budget Lead value engineering reviews, bid proposals, and client-facing presentations Coordinate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors during bid phase Maintain and update historical cost data and market pricing benchmarks Participate in pre-bid meetings, design development, and contract negotiations Travel monthly to project sites or team meetings across the region Ideal Background: 5-15+ years of concrete estimating or preconstruction leadership experience Deep knowledge of concrete construction-tilt-up, slab-on-grade, formwork, rebar, etc. Prior experience with large-scale commercial or government projects preferred Proficient in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills Based in or near Charlotte, Charleston, or Savannah with willingness to travel regionally
