As a key member of our senior leadership team, the Director of Plant Operations, oversees the day-to-day operations of the Physical Plant, ensuring optimal performance of all facility systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and results-driven leader with a solid background in operations, a proven ability to lead teams effectively, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, and controls functions and activities of plant operations and building renovations. Reviews and evaluate existing programs, services, policies and procedures. Develops, recommends to Vice President-Plant Operations, and implements or guides implementation of new and/or modified programs, services, policies and/or procedures. Monitors flow and quality of work to ensure timely completion of workload and adherence to standards and regulations. Responsible for the leadership, coordination, and performance oversight of the Maintenance, Housekeeping, Information Technology, and Security departments. Ensures departmental operations align with organizational standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Report directly to the Executive Director, providing regular updates and collaborating on strategic operational planning Develop, implement, and maintain the communitys Emergency Preparedness Plan in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Plays a key role in Department of Health survey preparedness and compliance from a Plant Operations perspective, maintaining readiness through proactive planning, documentation, and team training Experience: Experience of minimum five to ten years' responsibility at a director level or minimum ten to 15 years engineering and construction experience in a healthcare institution, with functioning in a mid-management position preferred. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or operations management. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of professionals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
