Job Title: Director of Plant Operations

Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to oversee day-to-day plant operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This role will drive alignment between production goals and business priorities, manage key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The Director will report to [Insert Reporting Line] and play a critical role in operational readiness, workforce management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily plant operations to meet production, safety, and business objectives.
Manage KPIs across operational areas, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DoD, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Promote a proactive safety culture and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Oversee physical security, including access control and defense-related compliance (e.g., ITAR, CMMC).
Direct facility maintenance and infrastructure projects to optimize asset performance.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs and facility upgrades.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance of the hourly workforce.
Collaborate with HR and Production leadership on workforce planning and training.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to support new product introductions and existing production lines.
Contribute to capital planning and investment decisions.
Minimum Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
10+ years of experience in plant operations or manufacturing leadership.
Proven track record in managing KPIs, compliance, and cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of regulatory standards including OSHA, DoD, ITAR, and CMMC.
Experience in physical security and facilities management.
Demonstrated ability to lead hourly workforce and drive engagement.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with capital planning and operational budgeting.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $140,000 to $180,000 Annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
