The Director of Operations for Commercial Laundry is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, production output, workforce management, quality control, and maintenance of a high-volume commercial laundry facility. This role ensures the plant operates efficiently, meets production and delivery targets, maintains high standards of cleanliness and service, and complies with safety and regulatory requirements.Scroll down to find the complete details of the job offer, including experience required and associated duties and tasks.*Key Responsibilities:* *Operations Management** Oversee all aspects of plant operations including production, sorting, washing, drying, finishing, folding, and packaging.* Optimize workflow to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.* Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pounds processed per hour, labor efficiency, on-time delivery, and product quality. *Staff Management** Lead, schedule, and supervise production workers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.* Hire, train, and develop staff; ensure cross-training to maintain flexibility.* Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching or disciplinary actions as needed. *Quality & Customer Service** Ensure all linen, garments, and other products meet customer quality and cleanliness standards.* Coordinate with customer service and delivery teams to resolve complaints or issues promptly.* Maintain clear communication with clients on special handling requirements or product specifications. *Maintenance & Equipment** Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs for washers, dryers, presses, and other plant machinery.* Work with the maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime and ensure safe operations.* Ensure an adequate inventory of spare parts and supplies. *Safety & Compliance** Enforce workplace safety rules and OSHA guidelines.* Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.* Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and regulatory standards. *Financial & Budget Management** Manage labor costs, supply expenses, and utility usage to meet budget targets.* Assist in preparing and managing annual budgets and capital expenditures.* Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.*Qualifications:** *Experience:* 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role in a commercial laundry, manufacturing, or production environment.* *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field preferred (not required).* *Skills:** Strong leadership and team-building abilities* Knowledge of laundry production equipment and processes* Proficiency in production scheduling and workflow optimization* Familiarity with safety, OSHA, and environmental compliance* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills* Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or evenings*Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand, walk, and move around the plant for extended periods.* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.* Tolerance for working in warm, humid, or noisy environments.*Compensation & Benefits:** Competitive salary* Performance bonuses or incentives* Paid time off and holidaysJob Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Health insurance* Paid time offSchedule:* Monday to Friday* Weekends as neededAbility to Commute:* Las Vegas, NV 89101 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Las Vegas, NV 89101: Relocate before starting work (Required)Willingness to travel:* 25% (Preferred)Work Location: In person
