The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Trinitas Regional Medical Center Intensive Care Unit is searching for a Director of Patient Care with supportive and empowering leadership qualities. The candidate should share in the mission, vision and values of the RWJBH family. Responsible for all nursing services throughout the Intensive Care Unit. The Trinitas Intensive Care Unit is a closed 25-bed unit supporting medical surgical cases with a variety of lifethreatening needs. Our care management consists of care bundles based on evidence-based practices that are executed with compassion and care. Our Intensive Care Unit works with all patients and their families to create a healing, humane, and caring environment while focusing on patient advocacy. Required Certifications and Licenses: NJ RN License MSN or advanced matriculation BLS from the American Heart Association ACLS from the American Heart Association Certification in Critical Care by American Association of Critical Care Nursing or 3 years experience in critical care Scheduling Requirements: Full Time Day Shift 37.5 hours per week Essential Functions: Provides 24 hour accountability for patient care delivery for specific cost centers Ensures that quality age appropriate nursing care is delivered to all patients on his/her nursing unit in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies Develops, implements and maintains unit budget Participates in nursing quality assurance Maintains unit administration, including scheduling and maintains of supplies and equipment Uses and understands the principles of growth and development to assess each patients age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care Benefits and Perks: At RWJBarnabas Health, our employees are at the heart of everything we do.
