Position Overview:
We are hiring for a Director of Originations on a direct hire basis. This position is onsite and located near Addison, TX . The client operates in the real estate investment sector t. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial organization that’s driving innovation in residential real estate through strategic partnerships and forward-thinking investment strategies.
The Director of Originations will lead efforts in sourcing and acquiring newly built residential real estate through partnerships with builders, brokers, and developers. This role is responsible for originating and structuring deals, conducting transaction analysis, and collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to secure commitments and close high-impact investments. The ideal candidate brings a strong network within the homebuilding industry, an analytical mindset, and a track record of executing complex real estate transactions. This position offers the chance to shape a rapidly expanding build-to-rent program while working alongside a high-performing investment team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for originating, structuring, and closing residential real estate transactions
Identify strengths and weaknesses of a transaction, while creating structural features to mitigate risks – creating win-win outcomes for both parties
Partner with internal groups (Underwriting, Transactions, Construction Lending, etc.) to pitch business and secure seller commitments
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with an emphasis on developers, owners, and other sources of third-party origination opportunities.
Prescreening and qualifying transactions prior to the underwriting and marketing process.
Reviewing offering memorandum and on a case-by-case basis screening and structuring transactions and preparing underwriting presentations.
Working closely with internal counterparties (Operations, Capital Markets, etc.) to create favorable transactions for the organization and capital partners
Creating and maintaining relationships with capital sources to achieve superior execution on transactions.
Expanding relationships with key market leaders, associations, and professional organizations to function as an active source of referrals to cement the Company as the real estate service provider of choice.
Provide leadership and execute on a hyper-growth strategy for newly built product and new communities
Prepare presentations, memoranda, and analytics in preparation for internal approval for new product opportunities
Leverage existing relationships within new home builder community and other industry professionals in all designated growth markets of the Company
Proactively engage new home builders, investor groups, and institutional SFR groups to source and evaluate new opportunities
Prepare and negotiate letters of intent and purchase and sale agreements
Promote collaboration and critical inter-department participation to ensure the success of the program
Promote and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures of the business unit and of the Company
Prepare weekly reporting on updated opportunities and status
Continually investigate and implement process improvement measures
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related industry or equivalent experience
Four years of experience in residential acquisitions or institutional real estate; Multifamily and/or Single-Family preferred
Experience in sales or sourcing (Brokerage)
Required Licenses or Certifications
Current driver’s license and automobile insurance
Real Estate License useful but not required
Skills/Specialized Knowledge

Physical and Mental Demands
This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Work Environment
Standard office working environment that may be busy and noisy at times supplemented by field work which includes, but is not limited to, inspecting assets, coordinating with RTM/Operations personnel, meeting with vendors, general contractors, real estate agents & brokers, HOA representatives, HOA Boards/Committees, city/county/municipal personnel, among other groups and individuals
