Vert Environmental in Fullerton is seeking a Director of Operations ready to step into a high-impact leadership role with hands-on involvement and long-term growth potential.
This position is ideal for someone who is ready to grow into upper-level operational leadership—but also understands the importance of mastering the day-to-day flow. You’ll begin by immersing yourself in our core systems, including high-volume inbound and outbound calls , scheduling , and routing . This foundation is critical to effectively lead, manage, and optimize the broader operations team.
As you grow, your responsibilities will expand into cross-departmental coordination, team oversight, process improvement, and strategic decision-making. You'll help drive efficiency, support team development, and contribute to scaling the company as we continue to grow across markets.
What We’re Looking For: Strong background in calling, scheduling/dispatching, administration, or logistics Comfortable managing call-heavy workflows and fast-paced scheduling Detail-oriented, systems-driven, and highly organized Leadership mindset with a willingness to start hands-on Excellent communicator with a focus on team collaboration and service quality

Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Paid Vacation/Sick Time 401(k) Various discounts on travel/entertainment/wellness/gym membership, etc. Compensation: $100,000 - $139,000 DOE Responsibilities: Interact with all aspects of applicable departments Cross-training of employees to facilitate functional redundancies across project duties and responsibilities Help improve and coordinate applicable departments Give input to employees’ schedules, duties, and roles, and maintain a highly functioning office on a Monday-Saturday schedule Direct and manage a fast-paced office, explain tasks, and provide direction on projects Help support scheduling projects, technicians, and report writers Continue to help the development of Vert Systems processing software Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Able to quickly learn and navigate company databases, project management platforms, and third-party software tools Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with teams and clients Excellent at managing multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and efficiency Experience in guiding teams by providing training, reviewing, and offering feedback on deliverables (e.g., reports, emails, invoices) Skilled in managing a fast-paced office, clearly delegating tasks, and providing strategic direction on projects Effective in leading multiple departments while prioritizing tasks and ensuring daily operations run smoothly Highly detail-oriented with fast typing and accurate data entry skills Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited 4-year institution is preferred At least 2 years of experience in system operations and handling workflows Familiarity with software applications and understanding of API communication for system integration About Company VERT Environmental @ Fullerton is a full-service environmental testing and consulting company servicing Southern California.
