Our client, Mutavi Homes, is seeking a driven and experienced Director of Operations to help scale its fast-growing house flipping and real estate business. The company, founded by Stephanie Lombardo, CEO, has built a strong reputation for transforming properties and revitalizing neighborhoods, and is now ready to take growth to the next level. This role is ideal for a hands-on operator who can build scalable team structures, develop comprehensive training systems, and lead high-performing teams across multiple markets to deliver exceptional results at scale.
THIS ROLE INCLUDES: Operational Leadership – Oversee all day-to-day business operations, including acquisitions, project management, and dispositions. Systems & Process Development – Build, refine, and implement scalable operational systems, tools, and processes designed for franchise-style replication across markets to drive efficiency, accountability, and clarity across the organization. Market Expansion – Lead the setup of new market operations, including recruiting/managing local operators, developing comprehensive training programs for new markets, and establishing operational hubs with consistent standards. Team Management & Development – Lead, integrate, and develop teams across all functions. Training: Create comprehensive training curricula, onboarding systems, and coaching programs to ensure consistent performance and cultural alignment across all markets. Performance Management – Track KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner closely with the CEO to remove bottlenecks, improve workflows, and free up executive bandwidth for strategic initiatives. Continuous Improvement – Lead 30-day sprint retrospectives, pilot new workflows/tools, and roll out proven processes across all markets.
QUALIFICATIONS: 7+ years running real-estate operations with team leadership experience Proven experience in real estate operations (acquisitions, flipping, development, brokerage, or related). Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget. Experience building comprehensive training programs and onboarding systems. Proven ability to manage remote/virtual teams and develop local market leaders. Proven track record in team development, coaching, and building scalable organizational structures. Proficiency with tools such as ClickUp, Google Suite, Notion, Slack, and Flipper Force (or willingness to learn). Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to drive clarity, execution, and accountability Bias for action, data-driven mindset, and collaborative communication style. Interest in and experience with AI adoption in operations. Experience creating replicable operational frameworks and standard operating procedures.
