The Director of Operations primary role is assisting the Department Managers in managing the daily operations of the hotel while ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting with driving revenue and controlling expenses to achieve strong financial performance, training and development of team members, providing direction and support to ensure adherence to hotel policies, standards, procedures and expectations, labor and payroll management, and more. The Director of Operations must have frequent and detailed communication with Department Managers to maintain consistency across all shifts. This role is heavily focused on the day-to-day operations of The Notch Grille, including back of house, front-of-house service, bar operations, and guest dining experiences. However, the Director of Operations is also expected to support and assist in all areas of the hotel operation, including the front desk, housekeeping, and overall guest services. Experience / Education: Minimum of 3 years of leadership, management or supervisory experience preferred, as well as a college degree and/or equivalent work experience; solid working knowledge of the principles and practices within the Hospitality Profession, including experiential knowledge required for management of people and complex problems; understand the operations of other departments, i.e. Sales, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Engineering; Associates Degree and/or equivalent work experience; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
