The Director of Operations is responsible for the operations, performance and strategic direction of multiple Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinics across South Florida. This role directly oversees and develops clinic Office Managers, who report into this position. The Director owns the full MFM P&L and is accountable for financial performance, operational efficiency, ongoing success of the service line, and strategic growth – both organic and through integration of new practices. This leader is expected to partner closely with MFM physicians as a thought partner and collaborator, while also being accountable to both corporate operations leadership and the VitalMD physician shareholders. They are responsible for setting the strategic vision and long-range goals for the MFM service line. A strong strategic mindset, data-driven decision making, and a bias toward action are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage the full P&L for the MFM service line, including budgeting, forecasting, and driving growth. Provide direct oversight and leadership to all MFM Office Managers, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and development. Monitor, analyze, and act on improvements in key financial, operational, and clinical KPIs. Collaborate with physicians to support care delivery and clinical and operational goals. Set strategic vision and long-range goals for the MFM service line in collaboration with corporate leadership and physicians; report regularly on performance and strategy. Drive clinic growth through patient volume, service line development, and operational efficiency. Identify, evaluate, and help integrate new practice acquisitions and partnerships. Lead and structure monthly and quarterly operating reviews to report performance, challenges, and progress to both Operations leadership and VitalMD shareholders. Standardize workflows, optimize staffing models, and ensure operational best practices are implemented across all locations. Optimize resource allocation, including staffing models and capital assets, to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations. Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and high standards of quality and service. Support high-quality patient experience by ensuring efficient front-end systems (e.g., scheduling, registration) and responsive service operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of experience in multi-site healthcare operations leadership. Proven P&L ownership and ability to drive financial performance. Strong experience in managing, developing, and holding accountable front-line leaders. Excellent analytical skills; experienced in KPI management and data-driven decision making. Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with physicians and clinical leaders. Experience with growth strategies, including new site integration or service expansion. Exceptional communication, leadership, collaboration and organizational skills. Must be based in or able to travel frequently throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties; must be available to be in office at the corporate office in Miami minimum 2 days per week; remote work acceptable otherwise
