Sandstone of Tucson is looking for a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our outstanding clinical team. If you are a compassionate and experienced RN leader committed to delivering exceptional patient care, fostering a strong nursing team, and ensuring regulatory excellence, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and oversee facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Manage resident referrals and admissions, making determinations for Medicare Part A coverage and discontinuation based on regulations.
Supervise and ensure accurate documentation of all services provided to residents.
Oversee Medical Consultants, including Pharmacy, Dietitian, Podiatrist, and Medical Records, ensuring recommendations are properly communicated and documented.
Monitor and manage nursing-related supplies, equipment, and ancillary charges.
Serve on various facility committees as appointed by the Administrator.
Supervise infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs.
Hire, train, and supervise nursing staff while ensuring ongoing competency through regular training.
Provide leadership and support to ensure high-quality patient care and a positive work environment.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in skilled nursing (Required)
Minimum of 3 years in nursing management (Preferred)
License:
Registered Nurse (RN) (Required)
Work Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the United States
