DescriptionDEFINITION:This position reports to the Integrated Health Services Director, who is under the Department Head: Chief Clinical Officer of Crisis ServicesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.Active, unencumbered, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in nursing and healthcare management, including responsibilities in fiscal oversight, staff scheduling, and training/education.Proven excellence in communication, both written and verbal.Strong ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.Confident decision-maker with a proactive mindset-asks questions, seeks input, and leads with clarity.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Knowledge:1. Substance Use Disorders (SUD) & Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT):•Understanding of opioid, alcohol, and stimulant use disorders.•Familiarity with medications like buprenorphine, naltrexone, methadone, and naloxone.•Knowledge of withdrawal management and harm reduction strategies.2. Mental Health & Co-Occurring Disorders:•Strong grasp of behavioral health conditions that commonly co-exist with addiction.•Awareness of trauma-informed care and its impact on addiction treatment.3. Regulatory Compliance:•Knowledge of Oklahoma Board of Nursing regulations.•Familiarity with CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic) standards.•Understanding of CARF, ODMHSAS, and other accrediting bodies.4. Infection Control & Medical Protocols:•Best practices for safety, hygiene, and communicable disease control, including Hepatitis C and HIV screening.5. Healthcare Operations:•Budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.•Quality assurance, performance improvement, and outcome tracking.6. Electronic Medical Records (EHR) and Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR):•Experience with medical documentation standards and familiarity with systems.Skills:1. Training & Staff Education:o Ability to provide oversight for onboarding, ongoing training, and support for nursing / integrated health services staff in specialized addiction care protocols.6. Cultural Competence & Empathy:o Sensitivity to diverse client backgrounds and the stigma surrounding addiction.o Commitment to client-centered, non-judgmental care.•An expectation of core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties:•Responsible and immediately supervised by Director of Medical Services.•Practices within the scope of practice for RN according to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act while adhering to GRAND's policies and procedures•Provide direct supervision to Integrated Health Services Team at the ARC, including Charge Nurses and layered management.•Overseeing scheduling and assigning duties•Responsible for evaluating program effectiveness and adherence to protocols, processes and policies.•Responsible for oversight of Nurses' charting documentation•Develops orientation program for nursing staff, including the development of nursing training manual and materials•Models delivery of appropriate health promotion and disease prevention messages based on age, development, culture and other consumer resources•Along with Medical Program Director, reviews and make adjustments to the duties of the Registered Nurse positions with the agency•Promotes interdisciplinary approach to treatment and readily collaborates with clinical staff•Advises, with assistance of medical staff, regarding medical issues and other health issues•Serves as liaison between medical staff and RNs and other staff concerning consumer related issues•Assesses need for supplies, equipment and work related equipment•Promotes a safe and efficient working environment, including infection control and universal standard precautions•Responsible for filling in as Registered Nurse when necessary due to unforeseen or unexpected situations•Valid permanent Oklahoma Nursing License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, (no restrictions) with three (3) years nursing supervisory experience and four (4) years mental health nursing experience.•Proficient Computer Skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records•Core competencies in relation to consumer population with co-occurring disorders•Understands and promotes our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) concept by providing or supporting community-based mental and substance use disorder services; advancing integration of behavioral health with physical health care; assimilating and utilizing evidence-based practices on a more consistent basis; and promoting improved access to high quality care.•This job does require the selected candidate to possess a current and valid driver's license, to have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.•Employee must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position (this may include transportation of clients).•Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as requested.•Meet or exceed "satisfactory" expectations at any scheduled job performance evaluation.•Regular and predictable attendance is essential and expected for this position.Must perform the specific job duties as listed above to meet position expectations.In addition, must possess skill in working cooperatively and effectively with clients, staff, management, and other professional groups; in exercising mature judgement in dealing with people; in presenting ideas clearly and accurately; in reading and comprehending the English language; and in communicating effectively; both orally and in writing.
