Position Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall clinical operations of the facility. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies and programs, ensuring the highest level of resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The ideal candidate is an experienced long-term care leader with a balance of clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire teams to excellence. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversight to all nursing staff, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance. Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and care standards in accordance with state and federal regulations. Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Recruit, hire, train, and mentor nursing staff while fostering a positive and professional work environment. Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage scheduling to maintain continuity of care. Conduct audits and monitor infection control and quality assurance initiatives. Serve as a liaison with physicians, families, and external partners to promote resident-centered care. Participate in facility leadership meetings and collaborate with the Administrator to achieve organizational goals. Lead staff education programs, focusing on clinical excellence, compliance, and career growth. Qualifications Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arkansas (in good standing). Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing management experience in long-term care or skilled nursing. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain nursing staff. In-depth knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey processes, and quality measures . Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills. Compassionate, professional, and resident-focused attitude.
