The Position: As the Director of Nursing (DON) , you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to the nursing team, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. You will foster a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement while driving clinical excellence and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced post-acute and long-term care environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all clinical operations to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Lead, mentor, and develop the nursing team to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care. Drive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives to enhance outcomes. Conduct regular rounds, audits, and evaluations of nursing care and resident records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care planning and outcomes. Develop, implement, and update nursing policies, procedures, and educational programs. Serve as a clinical resource, providing coaching and mentoring to nursing staff. Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records, ensuring efficient reporting systems. Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (or compact state license). BSN or MSN strongly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in post-acute or long-term care. Proven expertise in geriatric nursing and regulatory compliance. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to adapt to changing clinical and operational needs with innovative solutions. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary range: $115,000 - $123,000 per year. Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
