A 300-bed Level II Trauma Center has retained Nealy Pierce to assist in the recruitment of a permanent Director of Nursing (DON) for their Senior Services population. This hospital is an award-winning, non-profit, community hospital with some of the highest acuity levels in the state. This is an opportunity for a DON to lead in a community-focused environment with Magnet principles and evidence-based practices, supported by a team of top healthcare professionals. We are seeking an RN Director with a servant-leader mindset who is passionate about patient care and quality above all else and wants strong organizational support.
Overview of the Position The DON will oversee a 64-bed department, including a 32-bed memory care unit and a 32-bed long-term care unit within a non-profit Health System. This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), who values mentorship and collaboration. The DON will manage day-to-day operations of the unit, including professional practices, staff management, and support staff to meet departmental goals and provide the highest quality patient care possible.

Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current RN licensure
Coachable and eager to grow as a leader
Excellent communication skills
Collaborative, team-building mindset
Med/Surg, LTAC, Skilled Nursing, or Assisted Living experience preferred
CMSRN or GERO-BC certifications are a plus
