ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Patient Care Services is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, elevating, and evaluating the delivery of patient care.The role also upholds the highest standards of professional performance and practice, modeling professionalism and integrity in every decision and interaction.A key priority of this role is to develop and sustain departments committed to high-quality patient care, measurable outcomes, and a high reliability organization.This role oversees: ICU, Telemetry, Medical-Surgical floors, and Dialysis services, Organ Procurement.The Director collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer to shape and execute the strategic vision for the Department of Patient Care. QualificationsJob Requirements: Current New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License or Multi-State LicenseBLS/ACLS certification through the American Heart Association is requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in acute care ICU setting requiredMinimum of 2 years of leadership and management experience in an adult acute Critical Care settingExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust have demonstrated high proficiency in:Word processing, spreadsheets, and database managementUKG software for scheduling and timekeeping functions (performed directly by the Director)Press Ganey and patient harm reporting platforms (input, analysis, and action planning)Labor analytics and online budget tracking systems (daily hands-on usage expected)PolicyTech or similar systems for policy access, implementation, and complianceDemonstrated leadership competencies in:Transformational leadershipStrategic and operational planningStaff development and interdepartmental collaborationStrong knowledge of nursing practice standards, procedures, and regulatory complianceAbility to maintain confidentiality and apply excellent customer service principlesFull commitment to adopting and modeling MissionZERO Fair and Just CulturePreferred Requirements: Certification through the American Nurses' Credentialing Center in area of specialtyMinimum of 2 years of additional acute care experience in a non-ICU setting preferredRate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
