Long Term Care Facility - We are a long-term care facility in Lake County, Ohio seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all nursing department operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise nursing staff to promote high-quality performance and resident satisfaction.
Collaborate with other department heads to ensure coordinated, person-centered care.
Monitor resident care plans and ensure appropriate documentation.
Lead quality assurance initiatives and actively participate in surveys and inspections.
Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Ohio.
Minimum of 3 years of nursing management experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in geriatric nursing.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
