Position overview:
We are seeking for a motivated, accomplished, determined Business Development Director – Sales Director who will be responsible of further developing the U.S. market according to the company’s business strategies.
This position will be based in our HQ in Glenview, IL and reports to Vice-President of Business Development , making a significant contribution to our dynamic global organization.
Main responsibilities:
The Business Development Director – Sales Director will be responsible for:
Recruit, Lead, and Develop a Team of Regional Business Development Managers (RBDM)
Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to review markets for future expansion
Identify selected target accounts that fit the Key Account / Diversification Strategy
Assist the RBDMs to penetrate and close potential key accounts to achieve target business plans
Promote and sell Optimas’ total value proposition (products, engineering & supply chain)
Build strong, strategic relationships with all related functions internally and externally for projects realization and acceleration
Develop new and selected existing customers to full potential
Be aware of market change and competitors activities and report periodically
Make sales presentations and solicit RFQs in an effective manner
Work closely with all field sales and support teams
Achieve all revenue and profit objectives. Ensure that RBDMs achieve revenue and profit objectives
Present sales/key customer report monthly;
Create and realize business development plan and sales/market forecast
Analyze business performance of key accounts and formulate strategies and action plans to improve profitability
Deliver overall customer satisfaction
Work with internal departments to create proposals that will win new business while attaining profitability objectives
Successfully hand off the won accounts to a Program Manager or Inside Sales professional

Skills and Qualifications:
B.S. in Business, Engineering or other relevant academic background, or equivalent experience
Over 5 years of experience, with experience in the fastener or C class components industry and in a multinational company is preferred
Demonstrated success in driving new business development teams to exceed goals
Experience in project management and reporting in complex multidisciplinary projects
Project management skills and experience in implementing projects within decentralized organizations
Have high degree of integrity, ethics, motivation, energy and enthusiasm
Strong interpersonal skills, communication and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
