NY Label & Box Works is a leader in high-end printed packaging — from custom cartons and labels to specialty finishes that bring products to life. With over 140 years of craftsmanship behind us, we’re expanding our reach and looking for a driven Director of New Business Development to bring in new clients and introduce our capabilities to premium brands across beauty, vitamins, food, wellness, and lifestyle.
About the Role:
This is a pure hunter sales role. Your focus will be identifying, approaching, and converting new clients who need top-tier packaging solutions. You’ll be supported by an experienced team of production experts and designers, but it’s your job to open doors and bring in new opportunities. This sales process is outlined in the book “The Machine” by Justin Roff Marsh.
What You'll Do:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through research, outreach, and networking
Build a pipeline of qualified prospects across target industries
Conduct in-person client meetings to understand packaging needs and pitch custom solutions
Work closely with internal teams to develop pricing and proposals
Represent NY Label & Box Works at industry events and trade shows
Provide consistent follow-up and close deals with a consultative approach
Transition accounts to the internal team post-onboarding so you can focus on new business development
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of B2B outside sales experience (print/packaging industry preferred)
Proven ability to generate and close new business
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Self-starter with strong time management and prospecting discipline
Experience selling to marketing or operations contacts at CPG brands is a plus
Strong appreciation for design and packaging is a bonus
