About the Role
Due to significant growth, Charlie Health is looking for an experienced Medical Director to join our team. The Medical Director will collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer, fellow Medical Directors, and the medical team to ensure the highest quality of patient care, encompassing comprehensive evaluations, patient consultations, and adherence to medical and clinical policies. We seek a candidate who is entrepreneurial, driven by outcomes, and focused on patient-centered care. The Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring that every patient has an exceptional experience with Charlie Health.

Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the highest standards of healthcare delivery to all patients.
Ensure healthcare services are provided in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
Assist in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, monitoring, directing, coaching, and evaluation of medical staff.
Provide direct patient care for medication management, diagnostic evaluations, and medical assessments.
Review relevant patient complaints and satisfaction surveys, responding as necessary.
Offer technical guidance to the Chief Clinical Officer and treatment team on matters requiring medical judgment.
Oversee, monitor, and update the facility's medical policies and procedures.
Assist in obtaining state licenses, Medicaid contracts, and establish commercial statewide and national in-network contracts.
Supervise the development, implementation, and operation of a quality assurance program related to patient care and participate in quality improvement processes.
Provide consultation and peer review for all medical staff at the facility.
Help develop data, statistics, performance outcomes, measures, and compliance reporting in partnership with the Chief Compliance Officer.
Address risk management and patient grievances related to clinical care.
Assist the Clinical Director in identifying and arranging continuing education opportunities for medical personnel.
Participate in treatment team meetings.

Qualifications
Available to support the Charlie Health team on a full-time basis.
Authorized to work in the United States with native or bilingual English proficiency.
Unrestricted MD, board-certified in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Valid DEA Certification or ability to obtain.
Minimum of 5 years of practice experience.
Preferred experience in mental health and addiction medicine.
Committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.
Able to work collaboratively as part of a management team.
Possess a high energy level and the ability to follow projects to completion.
Strong consensus-building and teamwork skills.
Effective communication and collaboration with medical staff, patients, clinical support, and administrative staff.
Proficiency in using electronic health records.
Computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
