Director of Math Intervention The Director of Math Intervention role is an integral part of the Academics team, ensuring seamless administration of math assessments and responsive data cycles to accelerate math achievement. The starting salary range for this role is $113,839-$125,821. This is a full-time, fully on-site role based at KIPP DC campuses with an anticipated start date of late August 2025.

About the Role In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of math assessment and data cycles in the region. You'll leverage your math expertise and school leadership experience to manage external partnerships, design and lead professional development, and collaborate with math leaders to execute data cycles to improve student math achievement. In a Director role, this position must also ensure adherence to established internal control policies and procedures and maintain compliance within the organization. This is an exempt position and will report to the Deputy Chief Academic Officer of STEM.
Location and Type of Work As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support which requires this position to be fully onsite. This role is currently required to be onsite or in schools during regular work hours.

Math Data Cycle Leadership (40% of time)
Partnership and Collaboration (35% of time)
Responsive Math Fellow and Interventionist Coaching & Coordination (20% of time)
External Vendor Management (5% of time)
Requirements & Preferences Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of two years of school leadership experience
Minimum of five years of lead mathematics teaching experience in a PK-12 setting
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel across multiple schools and campuses

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $113,839-$125,821. At KIPP DC we strive for clarity, equity, and to be highly competitive. When determining salaries we look at benchmarks in the education and non-profit sector.
KIPP DC offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurances; various voluntary benefits; and employer paid benefits such as short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, and a membership to One Medical.
KIPP DC also offers a 403(b) retirement account with a 3% employer contribution and a 3% match with vesting after three years.
Currently, individuals in this role have up to 15 paid time off days, up to 10 paid sick days, and 12 paid holidays. This is subject to change and your exact schedule will be shared in your offer letter.
